A New Beginning? - Cascade of Stars

I suppose, first of all, I ought to introduce myself. My name is VoidEnigma, and I'm an aspiring programmer, mathematician, and pianist, among other things. I'm here to observe and comment, as I always have been.

Now, as I understand, many people are very distraught over the discontinuation of the Flipnote Hatena service. However, it's been obvious that the service was in its dying days for over a year, and I, for one, think it was about time we got our new beginning.

That is, if a new beginning is truly what this is. I suppose I lack sufficient data to pass judgment, especially because Flipnote Studio 3D has not yet even been released, but at this point it appears as if we're all going to get a new start. And I, for one, welcome it. Let's try harder to keep the community a real community this time, alright?

But, moving on, I noticed something else interesting, which most of you no doubt already have as well: Hatena will no longer be allowing anyone under the age of 18 to register for their services, but they are allowing those of us under that threshold who registered before it was enacted to remain. That was a notable update in the ToU, which of course everyone else read as well. This is also a bit of a new beginning, as Hatena has apparently gotten tired of the amount of immaturity that was on Flipnote. Of course, there are mature people under the age of 18, but I suppose it's better to be safe than sorry.
